Method
- Chocolate Cake
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl fitted with a beater and mix for 1 minute on slow speed, then 5 minutes on medium speed, followed by a further 1 minute on slow speed.
- Chocolate Cake
Deposit 230 g into prepared 6" round tins. Bake at 180 °C for 40-43 minutes.
- Strawberry Sparkle Topping
Place the Glamour Glaze Silver into a microwaveable bowl and stir until smooth. Add the strawberry compound and mix in thoroughly. Heat in the microwave to 40-45 °C.
- Assembly
Trim the top of the sponges to level. Sandwich 6 sponges together with a layer of Strawberry Frosting, then coat the sides and top and make smooth. Place into the freezer for 30 minutes to chill.
- Assembly
Put the warmed Strawberry Glaze into a piping bag and pipe around the edge of the chilled cake, ensuring that you have the occasional run down the side. Then fill in the top and smooth with a palette knife.
- Assembly
Decorate with plenty of toppings (donuts, cookies, eclairs, chocolate decorations, sugar sprinkles).
