Demerara Sugar is a brown sugar made from sugar and cane molasses, manufactured in the United Kingdom for bakery use.
The sugar is produced from sugar beet grown in the UK, Poland, France, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands and sugar cane grown in Guatemala, Mauritius and Thailand, with cane molasses from the USA. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Store at ambient temperature; it does not require a best before date (Regulation EC 1169/2011) and is sold in a 25 kg bag.
